Another CONCACAF Champions League, another early exit for the MLS participants.
First up was Club América vs Seattle Sounders. Seattle scored late in the first half, but the goal only served to wake up América’s scorers. Two quick goals before the half and another in the second half eliminated any chance of Seattle moving forward.
The second match was more enjoyable for fans of MLS. Real Salt Lake faced off against Tigres UANL. In a two goal hole from the away match, RSL had to get moving to have any chance of advancement. What ended up being the shot of the match was a quick strike to Joao Plata who slid in and buried the ball in the net. After that goal, it was missed chance after missed chance for RSL (including a blocked penalty).
So Liga MX continues to dominate MLS and you can now stop watching the 2016 Champions League.
